Myth Busters: Do you know the real TITANIC Museum Attraction?
Myth: The Titanic Museum Attraction in Branson is probably just another boring museum. Fact: Absolutely not. Endorsed by the world-famous Titanic Historical Society, Titanic Museum Attraction is an internationally recognized living museum that holds the largest display of Titanic artifacts anywhere.
Myth: To get in, you must stand in long lines for hours. Fact: It’s true we’re busy, especially on weekends and holidays; however, advance tickets make it easy to reserve a guaranteed hourly entrance time.
Myth: Some Titanic “artifacts” on display just have to be replicas. Fact: The more than 400 genuine Titanic artifacts our galleries display are valued above $4 million and hold documented evidence of provenance. “Visitors get a boarding pass in the name of an actual passenger, whose fate they learn at the end of the visit...” — The New York Times, March 14, 2012
Myth: Kids won't enjoy the Titanic Museum Attraction. Fact: Children five years and older are fascinated and really get it. They describe their museum experiences with words like “awesome,” “fun,” and “really cool.” The museum attraction is a living classroom filled with hands-on opportunities that motivate, educate and inspire. Every child receives a special boarding pass profiling a youngster who actually sailed on Titanic—a passenger who children can relate to. We even created a special audio tour just for kids that brings the Titanic story to life, and our onboard Scavenger Hunt adds to the excitement. Voted one of five museum exhibits sure to “delight kids and parents” by The Dallas Morning News.

The hour long tour of Talking Rocks Cavern is what we refer to as "edutainment." By this, I mean that we focus on education, as well as entertainment. It is educational in nature, as you will learn about the caves discovery and related history, as well as learn about the mineral deposits and other geological information while on your tour. The tour is also entertaining. Our cave guides are ready to answer questions that you may have, and can find answers to those questions that they may not already know.
Talking Rocks Cavern was first named "Fairy Cave" by the early cave developer, Turman Powell, after he first explored the cave. His comment was that it looked like "a subterranean fairy land". The caves name was changed to Talking Rocks Cavern in 1969 when Silver Dollar City purchased the cave. They chose to change the name based on a quote from Waldo Powell, son of Turman Powell. Waldo would spend a lot of time looking at the rocks and mineral deposits in the cave, and noted that the physical evidence in the cave would tell him a story about how it formed...thus, it was inspiration for the new name "Talking Rocks Cavern."
We have a SpeleoBox crawl maze, nature trail and lookout tower, and picnic areas that are free to our guests. We offer Gemstone mining (aka: sluicing); just purchase a bag of gemstone mix, mine this in our sluice operation, and keep all the gemstones you find!

The Ralph Foster Museum, on the campus of the College of the Ozarks, grew from humble beginnings in the 1920s to become one of the Midwest’s foremost institutions of historical preservation.
Dr. Robert M. Good, the President of the school, took an interest in the idea of a museum on campus. Subsequently, he made space available for the display of items in the basement of Abernathy Hall, a boy’s dormitory. When the dorm was later vacated, funds were provided to convert the entire building into a museum.
The primary focus of the Ralph Foster Museum today is to collect, preserve, interpret and exhibit items relating to the Ozarks region. One of the more famous exhibits is the original vehicle used in the television series "The Beverly Hillbillies." In addition, visitors will find antiques, weapons, dolls, natural history and other items from around the world.
